These are young peoples comments about how much they enjoyed being involved in the Art workshops, which culminated in an exhibition at Miles Platting Library

We arrived at the art club about 6.00pm. Then I did a picture with pastels of the mill.

After that, I was included in (working on) a big picture of a mill, and it was really good.
Conor Atherton.

We start at 6pm and we do pastel drawing of the old days. The people who come (to the art club) are getting better at drawing buildings like the mill and the new road near Argos and Ancoats Lane.

My name is Craig. I am 11 years old and I live in Miles Platting. I started at the art club four weeks ago and I enjoyed myself a lot.
I liked doing the interview (on video) at the end. I like the food that Stella made.

The staff were very helpful but I liked painting the most, which I did a lot of.

I hope there will be more clubs like this in Miles Platting, especially an art club.
Craig Kinsella

First of all we got told that there was going to be an art club going on. We all had to fill in a form so that we were insured, so that we could come.

We came on Monday and Wednesday and when we were there we painted our big boards and lots of other pictures. I painted Ancoats Hospital (entrance).
Savannah Hudson

I like the art club because it gets me off the streets. I like art and painting (in particular).
Anthony Horsfield

I really enjoyed the club. I found it a great experience and I would like to do it again sometime. We all got to paint things we see every day, like Victoria Mill, the entrance to Ancoats Hospital (and other local landmarks).
